Disclaimer for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Class
Please read the following disclaimer carefully before participating in our Jiu-Jitsu classes:
Assumption of Risk
Jiu-jitsu is a physically demanding and contact sport that involves the risk of injury. By participating in our classes, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with Jiu-Jitsu, including but not limited to sprains, strains, fractures, and other potential injuries. If you have any previous injuries or health conditions, it is imperative to identify and communicate them to the coach before participating in the class.
Physical Condition
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in good physical condition before participating in Jiu-Jitsu classes. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions or concerns, it is strongly recommended that you consult a healthcare professional before engaging in any physical activities.
Training Intensity
Jiu-Jitsu classes may involve varying levels of intensity, and it is important to listen to your body and communicate with the instructors about any discomfort or limitations you may experience. Do not push yourself beyond your capabilities, and inform the instructor of any injuries or health issues prior to the class.
Safety Guidelines
Follow all safety guidelines provided by the instructors during the class. This includes proper warm-up and cool-down exercises, adherence to technique instructions, the use of appropriate protective gear, maintaining high personal hygiene standards, and ensuring that personal gear is clean and ready for the class. Failure to comply with safety guidelines may increase the risk of injury.
Hygiene and Nail Maintenance
Every member is required to maintain the highest level of personal hygiene. This includes regular showering, clean training attire, and trimmed fingernails and toenails. Long or sharp nails pose a risk to yourself and others during training. Please ensure your nails are trimmed before participating in any class.
Instructor Authority
Follow the instructions of the Jiu-Jitsu instructor at all times. Instructors are responsible for ensuring a safe and controlled learning environment. Disregarding instructions or engaging in unsafe behavior may result in removal from the class.
Emergency Procedures
In case of injury, please immediately notify the coach, who will assist with the first aid kit. Familiarize yourself with the location of emergency exits and first aid equipment. In the event of an injury or emergency, promptly notify the instructor and follow established emergency procedures.
Personal Belongings
Every member is required to ensure that their personal gear is clean and ready for the class. The facility and its staff are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings. Please secure your belongings in the designated areas during the class.
